Object & mesh tools
Edit, align, measure, inspect land impact, work with physics, LOD, materials, and the rest of the builder toolbox without burying it under novelty features.
TX Builder Viewer is a streamlined Second Life viewer focused on mesh, PBR materials, scripting, inventory, communication, and the tools builders actually use every day.
The goal is not to remove capability. It is to remove clutter.
Edit, align, measure, inspect land impact, work with physics, LOD, materials, and the rest of the builder toolbox without burying it under novelty features.
Built around current Second Life rendering with PBR workflows, legacy materials, texture controls, lighting, and practical preview tools.
Keep the script editor, compile and error tools, object contents, notecards, permissions, and the functions creators depend on constantly.
Nearby chat, IM, groups, notices, inventory, profiles, radar, maps, landmarks, media, audio, parcel tools, and everyday navigation stay intact.
Voice, RLV, machinima extras, OpenSim-specific clutter, niche social features, and other nonessential pieces are candidates for removal.
TX Builder Viewer has its own branding, defaults, web home, release pages, support links, and a UI tuned around a dark blue builder-first theme.
TX Builder Viewer is currently under active development. Public installers, release notes, and version history will live here once the first test build is ready for something more dignified than being launched from a build folder.
The viewer is intended for people who spend serious time creating in Second Life. Building, mesh, materials, scripting, inventory, inspection, and performance tools get priority over feature accumulation for its own sake.
Stripped down does not mean crippled. The core social, navigation, land, media, inventory, and account functions needed to actually live and work in Second Life remain.
Documentation, release notes, known issues, and support links will be added here as the viewer gets closer to public testing.
