Why TX Builder Viewer?

Builder first

The viewer is intended for people who spend serious time creating in Second Life. Building, mesh, materials, scripting, inventory, inspection, and performance tools get priority over feature accumulation for its own sake.

Daily-driver capable

Stripped down does not mean crippled. The core social, navigation, land, media, inventory, and account functions needed to actually live and work in Second Life remain.

A third-party viewer is powerful software. You should not have to guess what it sends or where it goes.

Your Second Life life stays yours

TX Builder Viewer does not add telemetry that sends your Second Life login credentials, private IMs, nearby/local chat, inventory contents, friends or groups, payment details, or in-world location to TX Gear. IM, local-chat, and payment notifications are handled locally by the viewer.

What TX-hosted services can see

The viewer can contact TX-hosted services for viewer news and related project information. Those requests, and visits or downloads from this website, can create ordinary web-server logs such as public IP address, timestamp, requested page, and user agent. No behavioral advertising or viewer telemetry system is built into TX Builder Viewer.

About the download counter: the TX Builder Viewer download script stores one aggregate number. It does not create a per-user download history. Normal hosting/server logs may still exist independently of that counter.
